Diagnostic Analysis is a service provided by Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our"), which helps you diagnose smart home device faults and allows you to provide fault data feedback. Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.

Added a section ("Remote configuration for smart home scenes") about remote configuration for smart home scenes, which is a service intended to provide you with a better scene troubleshooting experience.

Summary

During fault diagnosis and fault data feedback, your device information, app information, and data you actively upload will be sent to Huawei's remote service platform for analyzing the cause of your device fault and providing solutions.

To allow our hotline agent to assist you in configuring your scenes, we need to view your scene configuration and device information (such as SN and device name), but will not collect any of your information during the process of such assistance.

You can access the List of Personal Information Collected to briefly learn about the purpose, method, and scope of personal information collection and/or use in Diagnostic Analysis.

1 How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We will provide you with the features described below through Diagnostic Analysis. To fulfill our contractual obligations, we will process information required for providing the features as described below when you use such features. If you do not provide the related information, your use of the features in this app will be affected.

1.1 Fault diagnosis and fault data feedback

To provide you with the fault diagnosis and fault data feedback features, we need to collect your following information:

Device information: including the device identifier (SN), device hardware information, operating system version, ROM version, system status information, system configuration information, and system logs.

App information: including the room name, diagnosis result, and app version.

Data you actively upload: images, text, audio, and videos.

We will analyze the cause of your device fault and provide solutions by utilizing the aforementioned information.

If you do not provide such information, we will not be able to provide you with the fault diagnosis and fault data feedback features.

1.2 Remote configuration for smart home scenes

To remotely help you resolve scene exceptions, we provide you with the remote configuration service for smart home scenes. If an exception occurs with a scene of yours, you can contact our hotline agent through the hotline number 950800, authorize the hotline agent to remotely obtain your custom scene information, then have the hotline agent assist you in tuning the scene configuration.

During the scene configuration process, the hotline agent will need your authorization to obtain your device list, SN, device name, and DeviceId for configuring the scene. However, we will not obtain information about your sensitive devices, such as cameras, locks, and ovens. We will not save any of your scene or device information when the hotline agent remotely assists you in configuring the scene.

2 Protection of Minors

We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information. Huawei will provide services and protection for minors in strict accordance with national laws and regulations. If you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents or legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.

In particular, if you are a child (a minor under the age of 14), please make sure to notify your parents or legal guardians about carefully reading with you this Statement and the Huawei Consumer Business Statement About Children's Privacy Protection (https://consumer.huawei.com/cn/privacy/child-policy) specifically formulated by us before you use our services, and use our services or provide information to us with the consent and guidance of your parents or legal guardians. If you are a parent or legal guardian, please ensure that the child under your guardianship uses our services and provides us with information with your consent or guidance.

3 Managing Your Personal Information

Huawei highly respects your concerns regarding personal information. If you have any further requests, questions, comments, or suggestions regarding your rights as a data subject, please contact us using the contact information provided under the "Contacting Us"section of this Statement.

4 Information Storage Location and Retention Period

The aforementioned information will be sent to and stored on servers in the People's Republic of China.

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Statement, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.

The data we collect from your device will be retained for two (2) years on the server.

In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or by other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.
